We are proud of the role we play as educators in our community and are dedicated to developing quality practice and thinking about the ‘bigger picture’. Leaders have a huge influence on ECCC's policy and practice.
All leaders have opportunities to develop their own knowledge and skills in all aspects of early education through regular training (in house and externally) as well as attending 6-weekly supervisions. We want to know what inspires your passion in Early Years and do what we can to keep that fire burning- if there is a particular area of practice you’d be interested in taking a lead in we want to hear from you!
Collaboratively, you will encourage and motivate a team of up to seven staff, drawing on their skills and interests to maintain the best possible learning opportunities and environments available to our children. You will work with an allocated budget to meet your cohort's needs. Anti-racist practice and trauma informed approaches are at the heart of everything we do, from our curriculum and learning environment all the way through to our policies, leadership approaches and staff wellbeing commitments.
Easton Community Children’s Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups and those which reflect our community.
If you would like to a tour of our vibrant setting or to chat to any of the team, please get in contact, we would love to show you around!
Some things to know about ECCC:
Our Centre was established in 1985 and moved to its current location in 1999. We are an independent charity who can react quickly to changes and adapt our approaches to best suit children, family and staff needs.
- Our vision is to provide ‘a sense of belonging not just fitting in’. We explore ‘mirrors’ representing ourselves and ‘windows’ into other cultures through food, stories and lively events.
- We fully embrace diversity and the different perspectives, interests and strengths that make everyone unique.
-We comprise of Bumblebees and Butterflies (6mths-2yrs) with a 1:3 ratio, Sunshine (2-3 yrs), with a 1:4 ratio, and Rainbow (Preschool), 1:8 ratio. We have three gardens including one large outdoor space, plus a community allotment plot.

Our purpose is to relate to each child as a unique individual and tailor our care and teaching to their specific needs in order to equip them with a love of learning that will help them to flourish and reach their full potential.
