Nursery Practitioner

We are looking for a highly motivated qualified individual to provide quality care and Early Years Education for children attending our OUTSTANDING setting whilst working as part of a team, in an enabling environment where all individual children can play, learn and develop, working in line with all current policies and procedures.

Requirements;

• Full time
• Level 3 in Childcare

We require you to:

• To hold a relevant and recognised Level 3 qualification
• To have good knowledge of legislation relevant to Early Years such as the EYF
• To hold a current paediatric First Aid certificate (preferred)
• To have a good understanding of play and child development
• To have the ability to plan to meet the needs of individual children
• To have an awareness of Health and Safety
• To have good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• To be alert and vigilant regarding risks and hazards to children
• To have a good understanding of commitment to Equal Opportunities
• To have a strong commitment to confidentiality
• To be flexible and willing to take on others roles and responsibilities as deemed necessary
• To be able to work on own initiative
• Ability to maintain systems and records for effective administration and assessment.
• To show a lively and energetic approach to working with children
• To have the ability to empathise, support and nurture children in our care
• To have the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleague’s and a wide range of individuals and organisations
• To be constructive and open to feedback and criticism and act on it
• To be warm, friendly, calm, engaging, approachable, motivated, enthusiastic and professional at all times
• To lead by example
• To work as part of a team
• To make effective contribution to overall team performance
• To take ownership of individual targets and be responsible for own career development
• To hold basic food hygiene certificate (preferred)
