Position: Child Carer/Children’s Support Worker
Working Hours:
- 3 nights a week: 3:15 PM - 7:15 PM
- 6 hours on either Saturday or Sunday (flexible)
Driving isn't essential for the role but must be in Alderley Edge or a close commute to the area

Job Description:
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and experienced Carer or Children’s Support Worker to join our team. You will work alongside another carer to support an 8-year-old boy who uses a wheelchair and has cerebral palsy. The role is not just about providing care; it's about making his time enjoyable and engaging. The ideal candidate will have a knack for being playful, entertaining, and creative in finding ways to engage and stimulate the young boy, making each day full of fun.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support tailored to the child’s individual needs.
- Assist with mobility and ensure safe use of the wheelchair.
- Engage the child in play, activities, and routines that are both fun and stimulating.
- Work collaboratively with another carer to provide consistent and high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with the family and other members of the care team.

Weekdays: £12.00ph
Weekends: £12.50ph
Bank Holiday: £15.80ph
PAID travel time (Paid at £12.00ph Weekdays & £12.50ph Weekends)
PAID mileage at 26p per mile

Requirements:
- Experience in child care or a similar role, especially with children who have special needs.
- A fun-loving, playful, and creative approach to care.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Relevant qualifications in child care or care work are an advantage.
