As Nursery Manager, you will take a dual role, spending your time in the rooms working directly with children/team and in a non-room-based capacity, overseeing the nursery and guiding your team. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Room-Based: Working hands-on in the rooms to support children’s learning and development, ensuring each room is a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  2. Non-Room-Based: Overseeing the nursery’s daily operations, supporting staff, and implementing policies to ensure our nursery meets Ofsted standards and best practices in early years education.
  3. Inspiring a Learning-Rich Environment: Leading by example to inspire staff to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that meet each child’s unique needs.
  4. Team Support and Development: Providing guidance, mentorship, and training opportunities for staff, fostering a collaborative, motivated, and highly skilled team.
  5. Family and Community Engagement: Building trusting relationships with families, addressing their needs, and engaging with them in their child’s learning journey.


Available Roles:

  1. Full-Time Nursery Manager
  2. 36 hours per week over 4 days (with occasional additional hours as needed) between
  3. 7.30am6.30pm
  4. Monday to Friday


Requirements you must have:

  1. Minimum Level 3 Early Years (UK equivalent) qualification
  2. Previous experience in a management or senior role within an early years setting
  3. Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
  4. Passion for making a positive difference for children and families


Salary £29,500 - £31,824.00 per annum based on 36 hour week. (This is the equivalent to £32,282.00 -£35,360.00 on a 40 hour week)
