As Before and After School Club Staff, you will support the day-to-day operations of a before and after school club. Working in a small team, you will ensure the safety of the children in our care and collaborate with the rest of our childcare team.

Every weekday, the Before and After School Club Manager will supervise a before and after school club where the team will directly organise, deliver and participate in, activities with the children in your care.

You will ensure all activities are delivered to Wollah Wollah Ltd and Ofsted standards at all times.

You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow and have FUN!

You will support children in their literacy by helping them to complete their daily reading

 

Responsibilties: 

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Before and After School Club.
  • Use our online registering system - all training provided
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Wollah Wollah Ltd programme of activities and deliver activities accordingly to children each morning and afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate
  • Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs
  • Organise the shopping or delivery of food and drink according to the Wollah Wollah Ltd Menu for the Before and After School Club
  • Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & Wollah Wollah Ltd internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Safeguarding Officer (Catherine Dredge) in a timely fashion
  • Ensure the After School Club operates to Ofsted and Wollah Wollah Ltd policies & procedures at all times
  • Carry out risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork
  • Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each session. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary
  • Support the manager with any Ofsted inspections

 

 

Skills & Experience: 

  • Be reliable and passionate over everything else
  • Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years old
  • Pursue further training and qualifications to develop your skills and expertise and those of your team.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 7.30-8.45am and/or 2.45-6.15pm, term-time only. With additional hours for shopping, planning and training available. Holiday and Inset day club work available.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally Level 3 Childcare qualified or above.
  • This job would suit ex-teachers, TAs, nursery managers/deputy managers or holiday camp supervisors, students, gap year students or people looking for a new role in a friendly childcare setting that prides itself on offering high levels of training and flexibility.
