We are looking to expand our team here at Folly Farm Day Nursery. We are a small privately managed nursery in a rural environment, where nature and the outdoors becomes children's natural habitat for playing and exploring.
Our pedagogical approach thrives on free flow play and risky play where our attention focuses on the child's voice allowing agency, respecting all children as valuable learners where their opinions always matter.
- Nursery Practitioner: Level 2/3

- Expected hours: 37.5 per week
For this post we would like candidates to hold at least a relevant Level 3 in Early years with a minimum of at least 1 year working with children in an early years environment. Paediatric first aid and basic safeguarding training is highly desirable. The candidate will need to have a basic knowledge of the EYFS and the Characteristics of effective Learning. We would consider level 2 qualified and unqualified for the right applicant who is willing to gain a level 3 qualification. There is also scope for progression in this role.
We look for practitioners who enjoy working as part of team, and are willing to get involved in charity events, parental events, ongoing training for personal development, and to attend regular staff meetings and team building exercises. We also require candidates to have their own transport as we are set in the countryside.
