Coumes Spring is registered with Ofsted to provide nursery care for babies, two-year olds and pre-schoolers in three separate rooms with purpose built and designed rooms where children can explore, learn and flourish through engagement in a variety of fun, imaginative and creative activities.
Outside, each of the three learning environments have access to their own designated outdoor space where children enjoy exploring a range of age-appropriate play equipment. In addition to the designated play areas, we have a fenced garden where children learn about growing their own fruit, vegetables and flowers.
Freshly cooked hot lunches are provided on request from Oughtibridge Primary School kitchen during the school terms (vegetarian options available), alternatively children can bring a packed lunch. Healthy snacks are provided through the day.
Keeping parents fully informed about their children’s time at nursery is very important to us. Each child is allocated a Key Person who helps them to settle in, monitors their progress and is on-hand for parents to chat to. We also use Tapestry, an interactive online journal, to share children’s milestones. Parents can use it to tell their child’s key person about the things that their child has been doing at home and to see the observations that staff make in nursery.
In addition to our nursery care, we also offer an Out of School Club and Holiday Playscheme (which are known as the Kingfisher Club) for school-aged children. Children can relax, have fun, pursue hobbies and meet friends in a safe environment with our skilled and qualified staff.
