The Role:
As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your designated room(s), ensuring a safe, happy, and stimulating environment that supports children's development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily activities within your room, ensuring learning opportunities align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan engaging activities that promote development in all key learning areas.
- Supervise and support staff, volunteers, and students.
- Maintain accurate records such as attendance registers, incident reports, and learning journals.
- Work closely with parents to support each child's individual needs.
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
- Support OFSTED requirements by maintaining up-to-date paperwork and records.
Requirements;
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare.
- At least 2 years' experience working in a childcare setting.
- Knowledge of Development Matters in the EYFS and statutory requirements.
- A Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety certificate.
- An Enhanced DBS Disclosure check.
- Child protection training and an understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and parents.
