The Role:
As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your designated room(s), ensuring a safe, happy, and stimulating environment that supports children's development.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the daily activities within your room, ensuring learning opportunities align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Plan engaging activities that promote development in all key learning areas.
  • Supervise and support staff, volunteers, and students.
  • Maintain accurate records such as attendance registers, incident reports, and learning journals.
  • Work closely with parents to support each child's individual needs.
  • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
  • Support OFSTED requirements by maintaining up-to-date paperwork and records.

Requirements; 

  • full and relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Development Matters in the EYFS and statutory requirements.
  • Paediatric First AidFood Hygiene, and Health & Safety certificate.
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure check.
  • Child protection training and an understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and parents.
