Successful applicants will:
- Be someone who is genuinely passionate about education and changing children's lives.
- Have a relevant early years qualification (level 3 or above),
- Have previous experience working with children of all ages.
- Have a positive outlook
As a practitioner you will:
- Promote positive relationships with parents, children, and colleagues
- Innovate with activities, and constantly challenge your children's learning and development
- Be willing to move to different age groups as required
- Work effectively and cooperatively alongside our tight-knit team and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the children at all times.
- Support the team in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS and our own Greenwood Philosophy.
- Take on Room Leader role in their absence
- Work on a shift pattern Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with a 1-hour lunch break per day.
Greenwood Twickenham is located at 63 Holly Road and provides a nursery school service in a day care setting for children aged 12 months to 5 years old. It is open 51 weeks of the year from 7.30am to 6pm, with a week’s closure over Christmas.
At Greenwood we have developed our own philosophy based on six core principles: Child-led learning, holistic learning, outdoor learning, community, environment and nutrition. We believe by incorporating these six principles throughout the nursery we will be providing the best possible start to a child’s educational journey.
We ensure our children are as free range and organic as possible by making sure they are physically active throughout the day and fed nutritious meals with only organic and free-range ingredients used. The school is blessed with numerous parks all walking distance including Holly Road playground, Jubilee Gardens, Marble Hill Park, York House, Orleans Gallery and Radnor Gardens which are visited in both morning and afternoon. The elder children also visit the Ham Lands twice a week for forest school.
All our teachers have a minimum of an EYE (Early Years Educator) Level 3 qualification in childcare and all our assistants are given training and support to gain an EYE level 3 qualification. All teachers are offered continuous professional development to further their career in the direction they want to follow.
