Lord Williams’s School Day Nursery is situated on the site of Lord Williams’s Upper School. The Nursery moved to its present, purpose-built accommodation in 1995. This building offers spacious and attractive, open plan, indoor accommodation and two large secure gardens.
The Nursery provides a baby area, with a quiet room for sleep. It offers a spacious, comfortable and safe, carpeted area for supervised play, as well as a lino area to enhance each baby’s sensory experiences. This allows our babies to experience the stimulus of the ongoing activities of our older children. Our children benefit from an adjoining outdoor area allowing the children the advantage of being inside or out. The room is set out with a small world area, book corner, sand and water play, role play area and construction as well as a large table for messy activities and meal times.
The large area used by Toddlers and Pre-School children is light and airy with areas for small world play, sensory and creative play as well as a home corner and cosy book area. We also provide quiet activities and group times throughout the day.
We have a well-equipped kitchen which enables us to prepare fresh meals daily.
The nursery has low level toilets which aid children when toilet training and a separate nappy changing area where potties are available.
