Nursery Practitioner
Our nurseries have earned a sought-out reputation for friendly home-from-home childcare, with both indoor and outdoor activities in which children thrive. Parents describe our settings on Rodborough Common and in Tetbury Upton as “wonderful and idyllic”. We are now expanding and recruiting for additional staff to be based at both of our nurseries.
We are looking for experienced Early Years professionals to join our team in both full-time or part-time permanent posts, with flexibility to work at both sites. Our nurseries are open all year round. The posts offer highly competitive salaries, from £13.65 or £14.40 per hour depending on role, qualifications, experience and level of responsibility to be held.
Requirements for Practitioners:
- Level 2 or 3 Qualified in Childcare (EYFS)
- Up to date EYFS knowledge
- Full time / Part time (20 - 40 hours per week)
Nursery Manager
You will already have demonstrable strong leadership and communication skills in a management role working in childcare from 3 months to 5 year-olds. You have enthusiasm to inspire the best in both the children in your care as well as your working colleagues. You have ambition and aspire to your own nursery setting. The role:
- Day to day running of the nursery, staffing rotas and ensuring cover as required.
- Engage with and/or oversee planning for all rooms, check observations, reporting and feedback to parents.
- Support and mentor all team members, modelling the skills and behaviour that safeguard and promote good outcomes for ALL children.
- Ensure training of staff is up to date, including: all our Policies, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, Safeguarding and First Aid.
- Ability to work alongside our senior leadership team and administration team (whom also hold childcare qualifications and may cover when needed).
- Be personable, able to build strong, professional relationships with parents.
- Be able to deal with and resolve conflict.
- Monitor condition of setting and equipment, organising maintenance, repairs and new resources as required.
- Liaise with local early years team to ensure high levels of inclusion, whilst monitoring the curriculum across all the rooms, ensuring it is embedded in everyday practice.
- Good understanding of Ofsted and Statutory requirements.
- Selection, induction and mentoring of new staff members.
Requirements for Manager:
- Full time 30-40 hours
- Minimum Level 3 in Childcare
- 18 months proven managerial experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Childcare
- Forest school qualifications and experience preferable.
