Job Requirements / Description
We are looking for an experienced practitioner to support a 3 year old little boy, who has recently received an autism diagnosis and has an EHCP in place on a one to one basis.
Requirements;
- Part time
- 1-1 experience
- Experience working with SEN children in a professional setting
Duties to include:
- Providing adult support during both structured and unstructured times
- Assist child in self regulation
- Use visual supports such as PECS
- Offering choices through play routines
- Follow strategies provided by SLT and liaise with specialists.
- Respond to child’s emotional needs
- Have awareness of strategies provided by educational psychology reports
- Support the facilitation of sensory regulation
- Support self care needs
- Close and consistent supervision to ensure safety for child
- Assist in setting targets, and to monitor and evaluate those targets set
